Full Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic
40 to 55 hours a week
At least 2 years Prior experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Must be familiar with basic operations of vehicles and heavy equipment to help troubleshoot and repair them.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Knowledge in both diesel and gas engines.
Must have your own tools.
Must have Maine state inspection sticker license or ability to obtain one.
Must keep a clean and organized work space.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Clean Maine driver’s license. Commercial driver’s license is a plus but not required.
Welding knowledge is a plus.
Basic computer skills, organization skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask. Fast pace, busy garage.
Must work well with others in a team based environment.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy duty equipment and vehicles.
Keep a clean and organized work environment.
Perform state inspections on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair broken vehicles and equipment, both in the shop and in the field.
Properly and accurately fill out work orders and turn them in at the end of each day.
Communicate with the shop foreman throughout your work to help maintain a schedule.
