Significant Reconstruction for Hampshire Street!

The nearly ½ mile stretch of Hampshire Street from Turner Street to Gamage Avenue is being rebuilt by St. Laurent & Son this summer with completion planned for late fall. 

This is a full depth reconstruction with removal of old pavement and existing road base. St Laurent & Son’s crew will replace water service in select areas; add new drainage systems including culverts, underdrain pipe and storm drains. They will also add new gravel, HMA base and asphalt courses. 

Final touches include new granite curbing; replacement of sidewalks and driveways on both sides of streets; signing, striping and lighting. Landscaping improvements complete the project including a pedestrian improvement at the Union Street intersection.
